Delcam CRISPIN offers early-bird rate for Footwear Technology Forum

Delcam CRISPIN is offering footwear professionals an early-bird rate to attend the Footwear Technology Forum, taking place at the PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy in Portland, Oregon, on the 20 and 21 May.  The rate for registrations made before 8th April is only $149, allowing delegates to save $50 on their bookings.

The two day Footwear Technology Forum (FTF) gives delegates the opportunity to hear from leading industry experts about the latest technological changes and updates that affect their business.

One confirmed speaker is D’Wayne Edwards, Founder of Pensole Footwear Design Academy.  D’Wayne is opening the event with Pensole’s vision of the future of footwear.  Lucy Beard, CEO and Founder of Feetz, is also speaking and will be delivering a case study on wearable 3D-printed shoes.

Delcam CRISPIN is also welcoming back Luigi Ferracuti, Global 3D Development and Tooling Director at Crocs Inc, who will be sharing a 3D printing case study with delegates.  In addition, Tyler Reid an Application Engineer at GoEngineer is sharing her knowledge on additive manufacturing.

Andrea Mayer, Sales Manager at Wolfvision, is delivering a presentation on real time visualisation of materials and Delcam CRISPIN’s latest academic partners in Europe, SLEM, will also be attending to talk about footwear manufacturing technology.

The Portland Forum builds on the success of Delcam CRISPIN’s first FTF that was held in Milan last October.  It was attended by international brands including Prada, Reebok, Vans and Sergio Grasso.  Representatives from other leading footwear companies including Dolce and Gabbana, Crocs and Ars Sutoria School also attended.

Paolo Marenghi, Senior Instructor at Ars Sutoria School in Italy, attended the FTF in Milan.  He said: "If you organise this event in the US, it is absolutely necessary for the footwear industry to attend in my opinion.”
