Delcam CRISPIN confirms agenda for its Portland Footwear Technology Forum
Delcam CRISPIN has announced its full line up of speakers presenting at its Footwear Technology Forum to be held at the Pensole Footwear Design Academy in Portland, Oregon, on the 20th and 21st May.
Keynote speakers from companies including Pensole Footwear Design Academy, Wolfvision, GoEngineer, Ember, SLEM, Crocs Inc, Feetz, Lectra, Robotic Solutions Inc and Yooshu Flip-Flops will address delegates, talking tech for future innovation in the footwear industry.
The agenda is split into six sections across the two day event. These sessions will cover:- An Introduction to Digital Design, Digital Sign-Off, 3D Accessories and Materials, The Design Lifecycle, The Future of Shoe Manufacturing and The Digital Footwear Solution.
D’Wayne Edwards, Founder of Pensole Footwear Design Academy, will open the event with a presentation that asks what the future of technology is in the shoe industry. Delegates will then hear from Wolfvision Sales Manager, Andrea Mayer, on the opportunities the Visualiser can provide to a footwear business. Paul Schmucker from VRED will look at the next generation of 3D rendering with VRED – a 3D software that uses digital prototyping to visualise ideas and evaluate designs.
Presentations will then be delivered by Kimberly Losey, Product Marketing Manager for the Autodesk Ember 3D Printer, Nicoline van Enter, Founder and Creative Director at SLEM, and Tyler Reid from GoEngineer. Kimberly’s presentation looks at 3D Printed digital customisation for consumers, Nicoline will look at creating and applying new stretch materials for wearable 3D Printed shoes, and Tyler will discuss the driving force behind the rapid rise of 3D Printing in the commercial world.
Closing the first day will be Luigi Ferracuti from Crocs Inc, who is returning to FTF to demonstrate how Crocs use technology to design and manufacture its footwear.
Lucy Beard CEO and Founder of Feetz opens the second day, delivering a case study on wearable 3D Printed shoes. Phillippe Ribera, Marketing Director for Software at Lectra, will then make a presentation on The Future of Leather Cutting and Thomas Bentley, owner of Robotic Solutions Inc will demonstrate Robot Automation in the footwear industry. CEO of Yooshu Flip-Flops Scott Goldie closes The Future of Shoe Manufacturing section with his company’s answer to automated custom footwear in the retail industry.
FTF brings together key industry professionals and gives delegates the opportunity to network with key influencers and decision makers who are looking for solutions to their business needs.
